Maybe you’re a small business looking to build brand awareness by getting an influencer to post. Or maybe you’re one of these experts yourself trying to figure out your influencer marketing budget.

Either way, you understand the importance of influencer marketing pricing. Especially when you’re putting together some numbers that you want to use per post.

This blog will cover what you need to know, and it includes tools an influencer promotes with.

How Much Does Influencer Marketing Cost?

Influencer marketing isn’t cheap because influencer rates can depend on several things. For example, most influencers aren’t Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He charges $1.5 million for a post. Chances are you won’t spend those numbers for your influencer marketing campaign. But you should be aware the global market is worth $13.8 billion.

Read on to find out what goes into this kind of social media marketing.

6 Things That Influence Earnings Per Post in Influencer Marketing Campaigns

Influencer marketing pricing has some moving parts. Popular social media platforms play a big role and other factors go into how much influencers decide to charge.

1. Influencer Marketing ROI

Remember that where you host a campaign is just as important as how many followers you have. Different social media channels have different engagement rates.

A good influencer marketing strategy can contain videos. But tallying up views to decide on engagement might include repeat views from one person. You need more input on any social media network.

2. Nano Influencers and Micro-Influencers

The main difference between these two categories is the number of followers. For the most part, a nano influencer has under 10,000 followers. A micro-influencer is the next step up and they can have up to 200,00 followers.

Micro-influencers who post consistently stand a better chance of asking for more money. High-quality images on social media channels make a difference too.

3. Influencer Marketing Tools

There are different social platforms to work with and tools that Instagram influencers and others can use, like Grin. They offer tools like branded content to increase your follower count.

4. The Kind of Content

If you want to be one of the highest-paid influencer types, you need to decide on your content. Written content, videos, or other posts take different amounts of effort and time.

5. The Industry

The Influencer marketing industry is big and there are many influencers in every corner. They include wellness, travel, fashion, and beauty segments to name just a few. If you pick an industry that isn’t too crowded, your engagement rate goes up and you can charge more.

6. Engagement

This is a big factor in influencer rates. It’s not always true that the average influencer earnings go up with the number of followers. Connecting with the audience is the big goal in this type of digital marketing. Follower engagement matters greatly. Measure this using likes, shares, and reposts.

Anxiety and stress have become common in everyday modern life, families, communities, and even the workplace. In fact, mental health problems have an impact on employers and businesses directly through increased absenteeism, and a negative impact on productivity and profits. According to Mental health America (MHA), managing stress and balancing professional and personal demands continues to be a prominent issue for employees.

In 2021, some 80% of employees agreed that the stress from work affects their relationships with friends, family, and co-workers. A further 71% of employees say that they find it difficult to concentrate at work -up by 6% from 2020. Very often anxiety manifests itself in the form of increased heart rate, rapid breathing, restlessness, trouble concentrating, insomnia, and others.

If you experience some of these symptoms perhaps you might want to seek help from a trained mental health professional. But in the meantime, you might consider trying out some mental health apps to help relieve your anxiety.

What is an Anxiety App?

Anxiety apps are tools that help users focus on improving different aspects of their mental health and well-being. They employ a variety of behavioral exercises and relaxation techniques to help you break free from anxious thoughts and feelings. These may include meditation sessions, calming tracks, breathing exercises, mood monitors, sleep therapy, goal setting, courses, and more. With anxiety apps, all you need is your mobile device and a few minutes to focus. Anxiety apps not only help you overcome panic attacks but also help you receive therapy in the comfort of your own home. They make it easier for people to reach out for help and are easily accessible for anyone trying to cope with mental health problems.

Why You Should Download an Anxiety App

Anxiety apps can help you find the right mental health services that suit your needs. They also can help ease any apprehensions when it comes to seeking to address a mental health issue in person. There are many potential benefits of using anxiety apps for alleviating depression and anxiety and including:

  • Affordability: Unlike therapy with a mental health professional anxiety apps come at a relatively low price. However, they may not be the best substitute for treatment if you are dealing with anxiety at work or serious mental health issues.
  • Supplement existing therapy: Anxiety apps can supplement treatment as they help to offer compliance to routine treatment through worksheets and tools.
  • Convenience: Anxiety apps come in the palm of your hands making it easy for you to access some tools to help you cope with depression, anxiety, and insomnia. They also offer convenient ways of practicing strategies learned in face-to-face therapies and include reminders that can be set to increase treatment and continuation of therapy.
  • Gathering data and trends: Some anxiety apps can generate data through graphs or tables showing improvements or areas that need improvement. This can help therapists determine which interventions are working best and which ones should be changed.

When I am not blogging, I am writing or editing copy for clients. I have exactly eight hours in which to get this work done.

That’s a fair amount of time, isn’t it?

Well, four of those hours are between 8am and 12pm while my four-year-old is at nursery. (I have tried working while she is at home in the afternoon and have even become adept at singing the ‘Hog Dog Song’ along with her, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto while simultaneously bashing out some copy – but frankly, it’s not ideal).

I have two other children with all manner of after-school activities and home-learning projects which I have to manage and supervise. So this realistically leaves me with four hours between the hours of 8pm and 12pm while they are all tucked safely away in bed.

I’m usually exhausted by 10pm.

My top tips for productivity?

1. Early Bird or Night Owl? : Identify when it’s your best time to concentrate on difficult tasks and use those times to be at your most productive. My best time to concentrate is in the morning, so I often arise at 6:30am to make a start on my ‘To Do’ list, check my emails and give myself a head start for the day. I use the evenings as my thinking/reading time, or will print work off to proofread.

2. Establish a routine and stick with it: I have a set routine of working on client copy while my toddler is at nursery. This is uninterrupted time which allows me to think clearly and ensures I am productive. When she is at home in the afternoon, I catch up with my social media marketing and blogging.

3. Have a strict schedule for telephone calls/meetings, etc: I always schedule telephone calls. Otherwise, everyone else has my 08450 telephone number, a virtual reception service with alldayPA, which for me is invaluable. This gives my clients the assurance that telephone messages are being taken by a real person.

4. Remain focused: It is very easy to become distracted by the ‘ping’ of text messages being delivered to your smart phone, Twitter, Facebook, or email accounts. So similar to having a set routine mentioned above, have a set time when you check your emails or catch up with your social media marketing.

5. Don’t multi-task: To some, this might sound counter-productive (and aren’t mums supposed to be brilliant multi-taskers?) Well, apparently, multi-tasking is a bit of a myth. It seems that working on more than one task at a time actually decreases productivity and the quality of your work. Speaking personally, I have found this to be true – I have plenty of burnt saucepans to prove it!

Home-working is undoubtedly a boon for many of us as working parents. Having a plan of action to ensure our time is productive, can help to minimise the stress and challenge of juggling work and family responsibilities.

What are your top tips for home-working productivity? Care to share?

Studying millionaires is quite fascinating, because more often than not, they are regular, ordinary people with remarkable discipline and focus. Very wealthy individuals get that way by working differently (not necessarily harder or smarter) than the rest of the world. One fascinating insight into millionaires is that they typically have multiple streams of income.

A 2018 article on CNBC highlighted the following intriguing aspect of millionaires:

  • 65% of millionaires have three streams of income
  • 45% of millionaires have four sources of income
  • 29% of millionaires have five or more income streams

Most people have at least one income source: their employment. They go to work on weekdays, and after enough days of work, they receive a paycheck. However, well over half of millionaires have three total income streams. For some, that is work plus at least two others. For others, that might not even include labor at all.

Having multiple income streams is a powerful wealth-building tool, because the right streams can increase your wealth passively. If you’re looking to grow your wealth like the well-off do, here are the top five streams of income that will boost your bottom line:

1. Real estate syndications

Passive income streams are one of the basic wealth-building blocks. Every person on this planet only has so many hours in a day. No matter how much you can actively work, you will always hit a ceiling on how much you can earn and how much you can save. You can turbocharge your wealth generation with passive income, because you will make money even as you sleep!

Real estate syndications are one of the best passive sources of income. A syndication is a group of investors that purchase a particular multi-family or commercial property. These investments typically run for about five years and feature yearly returns of around 8%. On top of those above-average returns, syndications sell the purchased building, sometimes providing investors with a 30%-50% lump-sum return at the end of those five years.

All in all, while all investments risk losing money, it’s not uncommon for real estate syndications to return an 80%-100% profit over five years. An investment that potentially doubles your money every five years passively? That’s why syndications are so powerful for wealth-building!

2. Investment income

Another common type of passive income stream that will grow your wealth is to have investment income. Syndications are investments, but this category is more generic, including dividends from equities and bonds. Many millionaires have CDs, participate in P2P lending and own shares in a stock like McDonald’s, which pays regular dividends.

These investments will not pay life-changing money, but as you grow your wealth, the stock market is a fantastic place to park your money safely while it grows and earns quarterly or monthly income. The key to wealth-building is diversification, and making income-generating equity or bond investments will help you achieve that goal!

3. Business income

Unless you have contractual obligations with your primary job not to start a side hustle, many millionaires have grown their wealth through side gigs.

Owning a business, whether making or selling something or providing services, opens up a world of limitless income possibilities. Suppose you’re a developer and create a game during your off-hours. That game might develop a following and passively earn you an extra $100 per day. Just like that, your side gig is making you an additional $3,000 a month!

You can take that money and reinvest it in the business to make more, or you can leverage your side gig to save more money tax-free. Your main job might give you a 401(k), but you can open a SEP plan and contribute the lesser of 25% of the employee’s (your) salary or $61,000.

Imagine being able to contribute $20,000 through your day job 401(k) and deferring up to $61,000 with your SEP plan from your side business. If you do it right, you could defer over $80,000 per year, and if you invest that wisely, the sky is the limit for wealth! When done right, business income is vital for generating wealth.

4. Royalties and licensing

This category is a little less common but essential. If you have the opportunity to create a product, idea or process, you can sometimes license it out and collect a fee every time they use it.

Royalties can be on anything — you might even start a band and manage to get your songs on one of the streaming platforms. Or you might create a YouTube channel and earn somewhat passive income from views.

Royalty and licensing streams of income are fantastic, because they typically are consistent. Suppose you invent a new waffle iron, for example, and a company buys that design. You will profit from every iron sold. In that case, you can expect a reasonably solid income stream for the foreseeable future!

5. Renting out your car

Peer-to-peer car rentals have become remarkably popular, thanks to a shortage on the market. When the pandemic hit, large companies like Hertz closed down and sold many of their cars. With the chip shortage, these same companies find it challenging to keep up with the increased demand.

Now, companies like Turo offer the ability for people to rent their cars to others. Some people have turned it into a side business of sorts, earning quite a bit of passive income. Indeed, one 22-year-old student in Toronto managed to develop a mini-fleet of four luxury cars.

It’s not just property you can invest in and rent — if market trends continue, renting out cars is fast becoming a viable income stream!

If you want to grow your net worth, you need multiple sources of income. Relying too heavily on one stream (typically a job) is risky. What happens if you lose it? Similarly, if that singular income stream requires work, you limit how much you can make, because there are only so many hours in a day that you can work.

All of the five streams of income above are fantastic ways to grow your net worth. If you haven’t already, consider diversifying your portfolio by implementing the income streams suggested above!

Business banks accounts can offer a wide variety of features and incentives that can make the day-to-day operation of your business that much more smooth and hassle-free. Here we take you through some of the things to consider when choosing your business bank account

What kind of business you are, and your needs

Business bank accounts can differ based on a number of factors. For example, whether or not you are a sole trader, an already established small business, or a start-up still in the fledgling stages of business formation and operation.

The important thing to keep in mind is that every bank account is different in some way. They will all offer different incentives to secure your business. Your decision will come down to a mix of what you need and the incentives on offer to use a particular provider.

For example, lets say that you’re a sole trader who has been in business for 6 months, and you currently uses a personal bank account for all business cash flow. There isn’t anything wrong with this approach, but it does require an extra level of oversight and precision when it comes to noting down your business-related expenses and outgoings. If your margins are particularly low because you haven’t built a large client base yet, you might opt for an account that offers one to two years free banking, so the transition is a little smoother.

Bank accounts such as these that offer the free banking period are usually reserved for start-ups that apply within the first 12 months, so you do have time to make the switch if you choose to. Alternative benefits to weigh between banks can include:

  • Overdraft and how much, for those slightly tougher business periods
  • Ability to get coins as change from a local branch, if needed
  • Lack of charges on paying into your account, withdrawing, or transferring
  • Availability of customer support for any issue that arises

Even with the question of what you need and your kind of business you are answered, choosing the right business bank account for you can, and often does, come down to more than just the features of the bank and the benefits that choosing them can provide.

Culture and ethics

The bank you choose might seem better on paper because they could provide a good interest rate and free electronic transactions. However, maybe you also deal with a particularly large rate of cashflow in and out, and you need your business bank account to guarantee a certain speed at responding to queries and dealing with queries, which that particular bank can’t seem to offer.

In that sense, it’s a case of taking the features and benefits hand in hand with the corporate culture and effectiveness of the providers, and weighing the two against each other.

There is also the question of how much you value the ethical standpoints behind the bank you choose. Ethical banking providers still do have to make money, but the premise they build themselves on is how they make that money. You might appreciate knowing that your money is being invested in ways that make a difference somehow. It could be from anything as simple as backing environmentally-friendly developments within the country or local community, to helping invest in eco-friendly start-ups.

It’s also important to highlight that a bank identifying itself as “ethical” doesn’t mean that they somehow offer less to you as a customer. Most banks will still be able to provide you with the services you are looking for regardless.

Whatever you’re looking for in your business bank account, weighing the pros and cons of each and giving the topic due consideration will lead you to the service and product that you feel comfortable with, making your general business operations that much easier to manage.

Every ecommerce site needs a great logo that accurately reflects their brand, as well as the overall personality and tone of their company. Having (and prominently displaying) a professional-looking logo is an easy way to help establish credibility and make your online business stand out from the crowd.

Whether you’re interested in updating an existing logo with a more modern look or styling a completely new representation of your business, creating a new logo is an exciting and important venture. To ensure a rewarding outcome, keep these characteristics in mind as best practices as you embark on designing a great logo for your business.

1. Simple

When creating a logo, simplicity is always key. Your logo should be concise rather than filled with graphical elements that may not really convey your brand, intention, or the overall tone of your business. Many companies create compelling logos just by using their business name, business initials, or a single, uncomplicated graphic to represent their brand. “Simple” doesn’t have to mean boring—it can still convey a lot of emotion and meaning, just in a minimal way.

If we look at the Olympics logo, we can see how “simple” goes a long way. On the surface, the logo is just five circles in different colors. However, the circles are arranged in an unusual pattern, and they all intertwine with each other. Since circles typically represent unity, this logo simply and succinctly drives the point of uniting different things together into one (for sports).

2. Attractive & Professional

If you want your business to inspire feelings of trust in potential customers, make sure your logo’s final product looks both attractive and professional. Your niece may be a wonderful artist, but scanning her artwork, uploading it to your computer, and calling it a logo simply won’t meet today’s visual standards. Make sure that your logo is designed cleanly using current design practices—and most importantly, that it is visually pleasing so viewers won’t want to look away.

Consider the difference between Shell’s first logo, created in 1900, and their current logo. The first logo was likely more than acceptable at the time, but by today’s standards it comes across as hand-drawn and a little choppy, evoking an unprofessional feeling. Alternatively, its most recent iteration looks crisp, clean, and attractive for today’s detail-magnifying digital screens.

3. Meaningful

The logo you create for your business should fit your brand in a meaningful way. For example, a logo using a playful font would be perfect for a children’s clothing store, but not for a store selling medical supplies. Your logo should convey the tone and personality of your company in both color and graphical imagery. It also doesn’t need to feature what you sell to be a perfect fit—a logo is an overall impression of your company rather than an exact description.

Let’s look at Amazon’s logo. While it seems simple at first—the company’s name with an arrow demonstrating that its products are moved from one place (their warehouses) to another (your home)—the arrow’s placement is notable because it conveys Amazon’s message that they sell everything from “A” to “Z,” and the curved arrow simulates a smile to evoke happiness.

4. Timeless

If all goes according to plan, your business will be using its logo for a long time. While no one knows what future trends may be, you’ll want to try to make sure that your logo is as timeless as possible. Several large, well-known companies have kept their logo consistent over decades, making changes over time through tiny tweaks over the years. Most logos that stand the test of time are simple and speak to the brand, without a ton of bells and whistles.

Consider the Coca Cola logo. The company originally fashioned a logo out of their company name in a custom font, ensuring that it would stand out, and in a red color, which portrays energy and excitement. Since the company’s product, vision, and (arguably) uniqueness has remained constant, the logo has remained largely unchanged since its introduction in 1887.

5. Memorable

One of the key objectives business owners want to achieve when creating a logo is for the logo to be memorable to everyone who sees it. The first step to a memorable logo is to keep it simple, and the second is for that logo to be completely unique to your brand. The goal here is for viewers to know just from a quick glance what company the logo represents, and for them to unconsciously experience an overall feeling representative of your brand at the same time.

Take Nike’s iconic logo, which is easily one of the most effective logos of our time. It is minimal and visually pleasing, and the long tail helps viewers imagine the speed they can achieve by running in these sneakers. The “Nike Checkmark,” along with its catchy slogan “Just Do It,” are recognizable throughout the world because of their uniqueness.

In Conclusion

No aspect of your visual branding takes center stage the way that a properly designed logo does. Well crafted, a logo conveys your brand’s personality across all media, whether digital or print. Whether your ecommerce store is large or small, a clean and beautiful logo strategically placed throughout your site can compel even the most skeptical buyers.

First, you should know the costs associated with starting a business. You don’t need much up front, but there are a few essentials:

  1. A business plan – Free
  2. A name for your new business – Free
  3. Domain name — $15 per year using Hover or NameCheap
  4. Managed hosting for your website — typically starts around $35/mo
  5. An email address – $6 per month with Google Workspace
  6. Social media accounts – Free

All that will cost you just $21 upfront plus around $35/mo right now. Business cards and fancy graphics aren’t necessary when you’re in the launch phase. Of course, if you’re just starting a side business within your own network, you may not even need these.

After you start making money, you may want to take things to the next level. At that point, you can invest in better tools and systems, like bulk email software to keep current and potential customers updated on your products or services.

If you want to start an ecommerce business, you should look into Volusion to help you start an online storefront that will help with displaying products, payments, and more.

Now, to the list.

1. Pet Walking and Sitting

This idea requires no initial investment. Start by asking your friends, family, and neighbors if they need someone to watch their pets when they go out of town or if they want someone to walk their dog during the day.

2. Grocery or Food Delivery

Delivering groceries or restaurant food for Uber Eats or Grubhub is a great way to earn some extra cash, and it costs you absolutely nothing to start. There’s not even an interview. You will just need to pass a background check and have a working vehicle, valid driver’s license, and a smartphone.

3. Ride-Share Service

You can be your own taxi service working for the company of your choice with no startup costs. You’ll just need to meet the same requirements as doing food delivery. The best part is that you get to work on your own schedule.

4. Tutoring

Students from elementary school to college need assistance in every subject. If you have expertise in an area, starting your own tutoring service can be a great business to create with no money! All you’ll need to do to begin is advertise your services.

If you do not have much experience, look into VipKid, a business that connects native English speakers to children in China whose parents wish to teach them English as a second language.

5. Cleaning Service

If you love to clean, share your services on social media and with family, friends, and neighbors. Your only costs will be cleaning supplies and advertising.

6. Sell Your Stuff

This will cost you literally nothing. Find some things around your house that you don’t use and post them on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. Want to go a step further? Look for stuff around town people put out to take for free, pick it up, and sell it.

7. Freelancing

Are you a writer, web developer, graphic designer, or have another technical skill? As long as you have a laptop and internet connection, you can be a freelancer. Find freelance gigs at sites like Upwork or Freelancer.

8. Handyman

If you enjoy making minor household repairs, like changing electrical outlets or fixing leaky faucets, then being a handyman (or woman!) is an in-demand business you can launch without a lot of money.

9. Social Media Management

If you spend a lot of time on social media already, why not get paid for it?

Many businesses want to be active on social media, but don’t know what to do. Get started by searching for small businesses in your area and pitch to them how you could help their following grow. This would mean Instagram influencer outreach, finding key opinion leaders, managing social media scheduling, etc.

This won’t cost you a dime. Your social profiles are your resumé here (and those are free)!

10. Direct Sales Representative

You can become a local sales representative for companies like Rhodan and Fields, Mary Kay, or Pampered Chef and sell their products at parties or online. Their starter kits cost around $100, which will set you up with everything you need to be a sales rep.

11. Lawncare

Do you enjoy working outside and own some basic yard equipment—like a lawnmower, trimmer, or chainsaw? This is a no-brainer business to start! Your only cost will be printing a nice flyer and the time to hand them out.

12. Snow Removal

What do you do when the grass and plants aren’t growing? Plow snow! There are a lot of people, especially the elderly, who will pay quite a bit for regular snow removal service on their property.

13. Christmas Lights Installation

Another winter-based business you can start for under $100 is Christmas lights installation. If you have a ladder and know where to hang lights on a house, you’re all set. Bonus tip: try to work with an entire neighborhood or street to give them a package deal.

14. Senior Home Companion

In the U.S., almost 27% of adults over 60 live alone. The older people get, the harder it is for them to function with ease. This means many seniors need someone to keep them company, help with various daily activities, or provide advice to their families on how to care for them.

15. Virtual Assistant

In our post-Covid world, a lot of executives are moving toward hiring remote assistants to organize their work life and schedule. You could actually do this job for multiple companies.

This would include jobs like managing their other remote employees, taking care of content scheduling, managing customers, updating their online store, etc.

16. Project Management

Not all companies have project managers on staff. A freelance project manager could be a huge relief for a small business in need of someone to oversee projects.

17. YouTube Creator

You probably already have a laptop or smartphone with a camera. If you have knowledge to share or can make engaging or funny videos, you can profit from posting YouTube videos through advertisements.

18. Consulting

You can begin your own consulting agency if you have knowledge or expertise in a particular field. Legal advice, strategic branding, and marketing consultants are always in-demand.

19. Photography

Own a nice camera and have an eye for the perfect shot? You could be a photographer for family pictures, weddings, and graduations. Do a few gigs for family and friends for free in exchange for permission to post, then put together a portfolio.

20. Flipping Websites

You’ve heard of flipping homes. Flipping websites is like flipping a digital house. For a small investment, you buy a website and use your skills in content development and SEO to increase traffic and sales. Then, sell it for more than you bought it for and repeat the process.
